Selling
We hold twice weekly auctions for smaller items such as jewellery, gold, silver, medals, coins, watches, antiques, medals, pens.
We have recently gained a larger premises which will be operating once a month to begin with. Here we will sell larger items such as antique furniture, bulk items, cameras.
We are open for you to consign potential auction lots every weekday. If you require a valuation, please call us to book an appointment. We recommend doing so at least one day in advance to make sure the valuer is available. This is a free, no-obligation service.
Our commission is set at 20% of the hammer price plus VAT.
Any monies owing to you after the sale of goods can be paid by bank transfer, as credit, or with cash - depending on your preferences.
We can add reserves to lots if requested, but they will need to be confirmed with the auctioneer.
If your lot is unsold, we can try to resell it in the following auction. If it remains unsold, it can either to collected or donated to charity; The Salvation Army is our nominated charity.
Buying

Our auction is fully online; customers can bid through several bidding platforms - our website, easyliveauctions.com or with the-saleroom.com. This allows you to experience the auction environment from the comfort of your own home. Alternatively, you can leave a commission or phone bid with us directly.
Each platform will have our full catalogue along with images available to view in the lead-up to an auction.
To bid online, you must register and create an account either through our website or with one of the above platforms. An additional 3% fee will be added to your invoice when bidding through our website.
Once your registration is complete, you can enjoy bidding from any electrical device that has internet access.

Condition of Lots
Bidders are strongly advised to request and obtain a condition report on any item prior to bidding as descriptions do not necessarily list all faults.
Commission Bidding
You can leave a commission bid with the office by email or over the phone before the auction commences. The auctioneer will then bid on your behalf from the rostrum, attempting to win the lot for you as cheaply as possible. It is important to remember that your maximum bid does not include our buyer's premium, which is added to the final hammer price.
Telephone Bidding
We are happy to bid for you live on the phone. You will need to arrange this with us ahead of the sale. Once a telephone bid has been organised, a member of staff will contact you several lots before a lot of interest is offered and bid on your behalf.

Making A Payment
There are a few options for payment. If you would like to call us, we can take payment over the phone - this is limited to £300. Alternatively, you can make a payment using our online payment link which is attached to the invoices sent by email. The payment link has a limit of £300; any payment exceeding £300 must be paid by bank transfer. If you are collecting in person, you can pay with cash or by card - there is no card limit for in-person transactions.
Payment must be made within 10 days of purchase unless prior arrangements have been made with the office staff. Payment may be taken from bank cards held on file if the balance is overdue.
